And here I am, really in the same boat I was in before. Same passengers, same situation, and basically leaving me, amazingly, without worry.

A few months ago, my mother finished her battle with Cancer (or so we hope). She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in the beginning of the year, but they caught it in the early stages. After months of Chemo, she now has a clean bill of health with a great outlook. Tara and I will be going to see her (and my Family) in Jersey for XMas.

I'm still not working. The last I heard about my Citizenship was this; 'Also, I wanted to let you know that I called CIC today for a status on your application. I was advised that it normally takes 6 months before initially hearing back from CIC from when the application was filed. We filed your application on June 19, 2009. We're nearing the 4 month mark.'. This means, basically, I'll be eligible to work sometime before Christmas, but that will be a waste seeing as I'll be gone for a week. I'm not overly worried about Money, seeing as I have a roof over my head, and Tara starts her new Job next week, but I'm dying to get back to work and get us out of the house.

We currently have a plan in the works to end up sharing a place with a friend of ours, who is looking to get out of where she is now. She can read this and chime in if she wants, but for now I'll keep it quiet. It would be a nice hand to have a little less to put out each month cost-wise, seeing as I would like to pick up a Truck or something AWD by next Winter for up here. My Grand Am doesn't do too well, but apparently the Tires I have on it at the moment are a bit of a factor, but 4 new Snow Tires can be pricey. The car also has an Exhaust leak that needs fixed, but that's going to wait until after Spring.

Last I heard, my Sister was still Tattooing. Take it as biased opinion since she is my family, but the girl has Talent. More than I've seen in quite a long time, and I wish she would get her name out there. My dad is still on his feet. Truly amazing, consider the odds against him with a very bad back, and age catching up quick with his line of work. My grandmother and Aunt are still in one piece, and my other Aunt and Uncle are getting a new home, after being forced to sell theirs years ago to avoid losing everything.

All in all, I can't really complain. I'm where I want to be, with Tara. Being able to fall asleep next to her nightly without worry has really turned my life around. I'm where I belong, and she couldn't be happier in return.

Perhaps one day, there will be a little her running around, just as beautiful, and with the same attitude. At that time, well see if I can really handle two of her or not.

Also, I'm in the Hunt for a Month Sub (or Longer) for anyone that might have some Deviant Dollars laying about.

Hi Dan and Tara,

I have some great news for you both. I received two letters from Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC) today concerning your sponsorship application. Tara, you have been approved as a sponsor and Dan, you have been determined to meet the eligibility requirements for Permanent Residence. We are now able to apply for the Open Work Permit Application.

Dan, as I advised you previously, our fee for an Open Work Permit application is normally -priceynumberhere- however, when done in conjuntion with a sponsorship application, our fee is -lesspriceynumberhere- , plus the government fee of $150CDN, disbursements and tax.

I have attached a copy of the letters from CIC for both your records, as well as a copy of my invoice for the work permit application and credit card authorization form. Kindly complete the credit card authorization form and send this back to me as soon as possible.

I have already prepared your Open Work Permit application and will pay your government fees and file it as soon as I am in receipt of your credit card authorization form.
